新型コロナウイルス、大型台風の影響で延期となってしまった10周年記念イベント「ART CAMP IN MOMOSHIMA」の振替日程が決まりました。
2023年5月4日（木）、5月5日（金） 2DAYSで開催！
詳細は、新たな特設ページで公開予定です。トークイベントなども加えて、より充実したイベントとして計画中。そこで、12月10日（土）より1ヶ月の間、本イベント開催にあたってのクラウドファンディングを実施します。

Invitation
今年で10周年を迎えるNPO法人ART BASE百島の記念イベントとして、旧百島中学校のグラウンドを活用した「ART CAMP IN MOMOSHIMA」の第一弾を開催します。
本イベントは、昼と夜の２部で構成。昼は、島内に点在するアートサイトを周りながら、グラウンドで音楽ライブとフード出店、そして特別な演出で百島の伝統芸能である「百島神楽」を上演予定。
夜は、グラウンドの野球のバックネットを利用した約10メートル幅の巨大スクリーンで現代アートの映像作品を３部構成で上映。離島の夜と共存するサイトスペシフィックな映像体験になります。
ART BASE MOMOSHIMA presents ART CAMP IN MOMOSHIMA to commemorate its 10th anniversary.
The event consists of 2 programs; day and night. During the day you can enjoy art installations at various locations across the island, along with live music and food vendors on the former school yard. The traditional dance of Kagura will be performed at dusk.
At night, a 3-part screening of selected video art will be shown. It will be a unique and site-specific experience designed to coexist with the remote island night.
アート・キャンプのキーワードは「祝祭」
東日本大震災、新型コロナウイルス、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻など、人類が直面する未知や困難に対して、共同体の維持装置としての「祭」を通した「感謝」「祈り」「慰霊」「儀式」などを中心に離島から世界を見つめます。繁茂する自然と荒廃していく空き家、過疎や高齢化と反して増加するイノシシやタヌキなどの野生動物。このような地域におけるアート・キャンプは、自然と人間の共生に新たな繋がりをもたらし、社会、集団における価値や存在の受容と抑圧された状況を打開する「祝祭」の芸術体験としてスタートします。
2022 Theme - “Festival”
We will look at the world through the lens of the "festival", focusing on the aspects of "gratitude", "prayer", “memorial”, and "ritual" as a means of maintaining the community during the unexpected difficulties faced by mankind, such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, the new coronavirus, and Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Here on Momoshima, wild animals such as boars and raccoons are growing contrary to depopulation and aging of humans. ART CAMP brings a new symbiosis between humans and nature, offering an artistic experience of a festival that breaks through the acceptance and oppression of all existing values.
同時開催の展覧会は、アートベース百島、日章館、乙1731- GOEMON HOUSEで柳幸典、榎忠、原口典之、岩崎貴宏、康夏奈らの常設展示に加え、特別展示としては2019年の百島の展示を経て生まれた池内美絵の新作「コサージュ」、百島初の登録有形文化財に認定される「旧支所」の120畳の大空間では、若手作家でアートベーススタッフの八島良子が2019年より百島で進めるアート・プロジェクト「メメント・モモ」を展示。
Art exhibitions include permanent installations by Yukinori Yanagi, Chu Enoki, Noriyuki Haraguchi, Takahiro Iwasaki and Kana Ko at 3 different locations (ART BASE, Nisshokan, and Otsu1731-Goemon House) as well as a special installation by 2 artists. Yoshie Ikeuchi exhibits works created from her experiences relating to Momoshima and ART BASE team member, Ryoko Yashima, will show her ongoing project since 2019 “Memento Momo”.
